Does the Proglycan CCD-Blocker only adsorb IgE against MUXF but not the frequently occuring MMXF?Unless subtle differences will be shown by future research, the general view is that MMXF and MUXF as well as the insect typical structures MMF and MMFF* bind very similarly to IgE - regardless of the original sensitizing agent. *(to be exact MUXF3, MMXF3 and MMF3F6)

What is the shelf life of the Proglycan CCD-Blocker once it is dissolved? After dissolving, we recommend storage for a maximum of 2 months at < -15 °C
-
How is the transport of our product done?We primarily use FedEx for our deliveries to ensure timely and reliable shipping. If you have a FedEx account, the delivery cost can be billed directly to your account. Otherwise, the delivery fee will be added to your invoice. If you prefer to use a different carrier, we are happy to accommodate your request and will arrange shipping according to your preference.

Can I substitute the blocker with natural glycoproteins?Yes. Such glycoproetins may, however, contain peptide epitopes that cause unintended signal suppressions and false-negative results. Additionally, most natural glycoproteins lack the polyvalency prerequisite for effective blocking
-
How can Proglycan guarantee the safety and efficacy of their products? We have implemented a quality management system and are certified according to ISO 13485:2016. All of our products have to pass through quality control. Every batch is carefully analysed to ensure proper loading with CCD (cross-reactive carbohydrate determinants) structures to provie the multivalency pivotal for inhibitor efficacy.
-
When shall I add the blocker, before or after serum dilution?Definitely, AFTER dilution. The effect of the blocker is concentration dependant. While thee is a safety margin, a dilution of 1:4 or higher will almost certainly compromise the result.
-
Can i save money by using lower amounts of blocker? To some degrees, yes. Strong signals may then, however, not be blocked efficiently. Weigh the cost savings against the cost of the test itself.
-
Will readings always drop below the threshold?A miniscule amount of antibody will always remain in solution. This can lead to values that (in rare cases) may be higher than the threshold for a positive result.
